A selection of artworks by 30 artists taking part in this years Open Studio event is being shown at Norwich Theatre Royal, Theatre Street, NR2 1RL.

This is the first time Norfolk & Norwich Open Studios have exhibited as a group at the Theatre Royal. The Theatre’s Curator, Sarah Cannell, invited submissions from artists earlier in the year and selected 30 artworks for the group exhibition.
Artists included in this exhibition: Diana Ashdown, Lynda Baxter, Louise Bird, Bill Botten, Helen Breach, Safi Butler, James Crisp, Polly Cruse, Caroline Denyer, Zelda Eady, Anthea Eames, Colin Giles, Kate Giles, James Gladwell, Caroline Hyde-Brown, Nathan Jarvis, Fi Kilpatrick, Brian Korteling, John Link, Amelia Mills, Richard Mills, Annette Rolston, Bruce Rushin, Adam Slatter, Nicola Slattery, Rachel Thomas, Corrin Tulk, Sharon Virtue, Joceline Wickham and Julie Woods.
The exhibition will offer a chance for visitors to get a taste of works that they’ll be able to see more of by visiting the artists’ studios later in the summer. Norfolk & Norwich Open Studios will run from Saturday 26 May – Sunday 10 June.
About The Theatre Exhibition Series
This space hosts a stimulating programme of exhibitions by East Anglian artists kindly sponsored by Targetfollow Estates Ltd. in collaboration with the Theatre Royal. The exhibitions change every 3 months and create a unique opportunity for local professional artists to display and sell their work in a well used and well loved public space.
When the Theatre was refurbished in 2007 Targetfollow paid for a flexible hanging system to be installed on the walls around the Adnams Bar, since then Targetfollow has supported the changing exhibition series which has featured work by over 150 local artists including Colin Self, Nicola Slattery, John Kiki, Martin Laurence, Sally Hirst, Bruer Tidman, Mary Mellor, Fiona Roberts, Cornelia FitzRoy and many more.
