Louise Stebbing has been mesmerised by printmaking techniques since attending Art Foundation Course at Cambridge followed by completing a degree course in Sheffield and Postgraduate Printmaking at Camberwell, London. In her Norfolk studio she uses a variety of techniques but mostly lino printing and etching.

Louise draws inspiration from a variety of sources often using her environment as inspiration. “My images usually start with a sketch and I like the print to evolve as I create it – not working out too much detail in advance, but using my many years of experience to let the image develop in the direction it happens to take me at that particular time.”

Louise has exhibited extensively in the UK including the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy, Mall Galleries, Affordable Art Fair Battersea and Hampstead. She has won prizes for her prints and been published in several art books. The latest book “The Illustrated Garden” by Mascot Media features several of Louise’s images. Louise is a member of The Printmakers Council, Contemporarti, West Norfolk Artists Association, A Core Team Member for the Cambridge Original Printmakers Biennale 2018.

The exhibition at the St Bride Foundation will be deliberately diverse in both subject matter and techniques.
