Beverley Brown

Portrait Artist

Originally born and raised in Lincolnshire, I moved to Norfolk when I married and now have four children. I studied art at the College of West Anglia and the Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, graduating in 2008 with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art.

As a child I spent many hours drawing, so it seems nothing has changed now. My love of portraiture, figurative work and animals has been a constant element in my life. Capturing an ordinary moment and turning it into something special and memorable holds a fascination that I never tire of. Although I look to create a likeness, I also hope to see beyond the surface and capture the personality and character of the subjects in my artwork.

At present much of my recent work has focused on graphite and charcoal, however, I also use oils and pastels.

Exhibitions: I have exhibited at Greyfriars Art space and the King's Lynn Arts Centre.
