Artist's Statement

Corri is a Swaffham based painter and has lived in Norfolk for the last twenty years. Born in The Netherlands she has lived and worked across Europe (including London and the Midlands) and in Iran. She started to paint after attending a workshop in Singapore when she discovered how much she enjoyed being able to express herself through painting. She has attended various art and design courses as well as drawing and painting sessions by established painters, learning new techniques and using acrylic, oil and water colour paint.

Her land and seascapes evoke a sense of place, directly influenced not only by the Norfolk scape but also by having travelled in so many different places and countries across the world. Corri paints landscapes, seascapes, and abstract style, using different media; her portraits and drawings are of people across the world, young and old, happy and sad, family, friends and total strangers.
