Originally from Buckinghamshire, I moved to Sussex because of my husband’s career in 1994 and then moved to Norfolk in July 2011 to be closer to our family.
Mainly self taught, I have always loved drawing and went to a few evening classes over the years but didn’t really have the time to do much as I was looking after my family and working as a medical secretary. When I retired I joined the local art group in Storrington, West Sussex and had some success in selling a few paintings.
As soon as we moved to Norfolk, I made enquiries about art groups in the area and joined North Runcton Art Group. Since February 2016 I have been attending a Mixed Media class at Norfolk Creative Arts, Grimston, firstly under the inspiring tutor Tod Evans and now with Rosy Prue. I like to paint wildlife, using photographs taken on our travels, mainly birds as my husband and son are keen birdwatchers.
My favourite media are pastels but I enjoy using watercolour and acrylics. I have recently started experimenting with linocut printing.
