Marcelle Seabourne likes to experiment and explore possibilities of different media, from painting in watercolour, acrylics or oils to drawing in pencil, charcoal or pastel. She also uses a Nexus tablet to create digital drawings and paintings.
Marcelle is fortunate to live and work in the countryside, and finds the continually changing landscape through times of day and seasons and the interplay between man-made and natural in her surroundings an exciting source of new ideas.
Marcelle's inspiration comes from a wide range of other sources too. She likes to travel and historic places she has visited are a continuing theme. She also enjoys the challenge of trying to capture a personality or a pose in a portrait or figure, the play of light on a collection of objects or the ephemeral beauty of a flower.
Whatever the subject, Marcelle is interested in creating a unique image, reflecting a particular moment or feeling.
