Artist's Statement

I am one of Norfolk's contemporary artists and my artworks reflect my varying background; the Far East, London and East Anglia. Shortly after moving to Norfolk in 1996, my painting went through a number of phases, influenced by local architecture, which I used in an abstract expressionist way.

Recently, I looked back to nature and found inspiration on tropical flowers and foliage, which I simplify and formalise shapes and forms, using bold colours. My other work is Installation Art,where I participated at the Salthouse Art Exhibitions in 2003 and 2005, creating a triptych, and a rotating Salthouse lantern. Graphical elements are in my artworks.
