\u2018Hope Springs Eternal\u2019 by Angela Banner<\/p><\/div>\n

An exciting collaboration with the WNAA and Purfleet Brasserie in Kings Lynn is continuing its successful venture with exhibiting artwork from our talented members, this time showcasing works by artists Angela Banner, Barbara Anna Cichocka and David Cook. The exhibition runs from 19th June – 30th July exhibition A preview was held on Mon 19th June 7 – 9pm.

ANGELA BANNER<\/strong><\/p>\n

Colour has fascinated me for as long as I can remember. I always loved playing with different combinations as a child. My career in Interior Design fulfilled my dreams of working with beautiful fabrics, wall-coverings, furniture, rugs, art and accessories to give my clients the home of their dreams.
\nI was lucky enough to complete commissions while living in Florida, Texas, Colombia and Spain as well as the UK. After retiring I needed a creative outlet and began taking classes in oil painting. Having lived in such colourful places my paintings often reflect my love of strong, vibrant colour, many of tropical birds and flowers. During the last few years especially, living near our exceptionally beautiful Norfolk coast, my painting has evolved. The landscape never ceases to inspire me to pick up my paint brush.<\/p>\n

\u2018Gems of May\u2019 by Barbara Cichocka<\/p><\/div>\n

I have been an artist throughout my life, having initially studied tapestry in my native country of Poland. Indeed, it was tapestry that first brought me to England, and although I continued to create art, it was only later in life that I committed full-time to painting, after studying Art and Design at the College of West Anglia.<\/p>\n

I draw inspiration from my natural surroundings and certain aspects of humanity. I’m particularly fascinated by flowers, their magnificent forms and colours. I enjoy the process of observing my chosen subject and presenting its characteristics in my own style. Sometimes I’ll study my subject for days and other times I’ll paint on impulse, outlining shapes and patterns instinctively.<\/p>\n

\nDAVID COOK<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2018Bar- Headed Goose\u2019 by David Cook<\/p><\/div>\n

David is internationally acclaimed for his wildlife art and he is one of England\u2019s leading paper sculptors. He studied at the Medway College of Art and at the Regent Street Polytechnic in London. His drawings, paintings, and sculptures are in civic, corporate, educational and private collections throughout the world.
\nHe exhibits annually in London at the Mall Galleries with the Royal Society of Marine Artists, the Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers and the Society of Wildlife Artists and has won many awards.<\/p>\n
