The next artist exibiting in our collaboration with the Purfleet Brasserie is Patrick Hillard. Patrick’s abstract work is often inspired by music and unique through his striking colour palette and gestural approach.<\/p>\n

\u2018Walk on gilded splinters\u2019<\/p><\/div>\n

I have been painting since childhood and through my life I have never been without paint and brushes in the house. The things that inspire me vary widely; portraits, mostly musicians, landscapes and abstract. I like dramatic scenes and dramatic, dynamic mixes of colour.
\nFor a long time I shied away from abstract art even though I enjoyed looking at it. Then a family tragedy made me completely relook at the way I approached my art. I hope you like what you see.

(Nearest car park to the Brasserie is at Baker Lane, Kings Lynn. Drive past Boal Quay beside the river then , turn right onto the one way system, then left into the Car parks ,it\u2019s in two parts . Park on the left, then walk over the little bridge into Purfleet, then left to the Brasserie just a 2 min walk.
