Portrait of a Racehorse
Oil
I originally taught myself to paint and since retiring have expanded my knowledge via local classes and a lively online forum. Most days I can be found in my shed the bottom of my garden in Castle Acre, where I can easily lose myself in a painting for hours!
Historically I have exhibited and sold works at The Mall Gallery, London and West Acre Theatre.
I enjoy learning different techniques and the fact that no two painting days ever need be the same. I get a huge sense of enjoyment from transforming a blank canvas finding inspiration in many forms - from the Norfolk countryside to paintings of the old Masters, a study of which I have recently completed.
