Artist's Statement

Bodies and colour are the foundation of Helen’s artistic practice. A skilled draughtsperson, with an architectural background, she has a penchant for life-drawing. After many years her own unique drawing style, mainly in pastels and charcoal, has emerged. The use of form and colour extends into her printing and three-dimensional work, with faces and figures created in ceramics and assorted mixed-media sculptural pieces. Based in Castle Acre, Helen is a long-time member of the WNAA, being on the inaugural committee almost twenty years ago!
