Artist's Statement

I consider myself a creative person who uses various means to create and make. As a photographer I like to experiment with equipment, techniques and artistry. I love colour, black and white and infrared photography and switch between these when I sense the need. I like interesting places, the mundane environment, light in all it's forms and events unfolding. I'm a spontaneous photographer who captures what I notice and then expresses this through my images. I like visiting new places, seeing new things and interacting with new people. All these factors combined with colour, line, pattern, shape and texture influence my photography, so using these with a love of the more technical aspects of photography enable me to create my personal, unique images.
