Artist's Statement

Having always been a lover of art and design since being at school but never following on with a career in art, I decided in my late thirties that I wanted a change of direction when being forced to leave my nursing career due to ill health. This resulted in me beginning to design my own pieces of artwork and progressing on to selling at some galleries and craft shows. I use a variety of mediums within my artwork to keep my designs interesting, and love to create paintings and drawings using wool and fabrics, collages, soft pastels, gouache and acrylics and more recently digital pictures which I have originally hand sketched. My current artwork and a selection of limited edition Giclee prints and cards are available to purchase via my website.

Living on the beautiful Norfolk coast, I am overwhelmingly inspired by the stunning nature and wildlife which surrounds us, and this is reflected in a large proportion of my art works, in particular the beautiful hares which can be seen daily close to my home.
