As an artist, I find joy in capturing the essence of landscapes through loose paintings and drawings, which serve as a foundation for further development. Whether I'm working 'en plein air' or in the studio, I gravitate towards oil paint for its workability and the way it allows me to layer and manipulate the colors on both the palette and the canvas. Additionally, acrylic is a favoured medium for certain pieces.
My creative process often begins with covering the canvas or paper with spontaneous marks, which gradually evolve into integral parts of the final artwork. While my paintings retain a degree of representation, the colors and marks are deeply intertwined with my emotions and perceptions, reflecting a shift towards abstraction in my current work.
