Artist's Statement

I am Melanie. I am from Melbourne, Australia and was an exhibiting member of The Melbourne Artists Association. My father was born in Heydon, Norfolk and many of my extended family are here. I moved here with my husband and youngest daughter in August, 2023. I love the Norfolk landscape and can't wait to get out and about now that I have been reunited with my equipment.

I primarily work in oils but also enjoy water colour, pencil and acrylic. Landscapes, portraits and botanical art are my passion. I also dabble in sculpture and was invited to exhibit in the sculptor of the year exhibition (invitation only) in 2022.

I am looking forward to joining the artist community of West Norfolk and having my art seen.
