Artist's Statement

I live in a tiny hamlet in West Norfolk with my husband, two rescue terriers, two rescue hedgehogs and a belligerent chicken, named Linda. I have been illustrating books for several years now. My recent publication, The Book of Ned, was inspired by my love of animals, in particular, the humble domestic dog with all the chaos, mayhem, love and hilarity they bring.

This recent voyage into seascapes and happy association with the WNAA, marks the start of a new chapter for me, one in which I hope to share my fascination with anything marine through the medium of oils, acrylics and resin (a slippery little chap, but finally mastered).

When I’m not wrangling resin, you’ll find me in the shed with hammers and saws working on something silver.
