Artist's Statement

I have always loved drawing and painting and one of my earliest memories is of drawing a picture of a cave man, and my teacher loved it so much that it was hung on the wall for a whole year, much to my delight! After leaving school, I went on to run a large and very successful business, so my love of art went on the back burner for many years, though I did, during this period, find the time to write and illustrate a children’s book. I had some solo exhibitions of my work when I lived in London. I work mainly with watercolour and acrylics, but also enjoy drawing. Now that I am approaching retirement age I am hoping to be able to spend more time on my artwork.
