Artist's Statement

At Leeds Art college I achieved Dip AD in graphic design specialising in film and TV design. I did a small amount of TV work then did a PGCE and became a teacher. I taught mostly secondary school age and adult evening classes. Nearly all my creativity was taken up in teaching, so after retiring I could concentrate on my own work.

In recent years I have used photoshop to produce my own creative photos. I have investigated the relationship between the forms found in landscape and the human body, in pen and ink and watercolour. I have been fascinated by waves and water. Lino printing has become my most recent passion. For fun I have created lots of pictures using driftwood and shells found on the beach.
