Do come along if you want to see some vibrant and colourful abstract art in many media and materials: paintings, drawings, prints and small sculptures.

David Lendrum

David Lendrum’s abstract paintings are derived from nature. He is inspired by the sunsets, clouds or flowers at his home in Ringstead. He often works with diluted acrylic paint, staining it directly into the unprimed canvas, and also paints on primed canvases applying the paint in thicker layers using brushes, palette knives and scrapers to create strong textures. Intense, vibrant colours are used to create a sense of feelings and mood.

Helga Joergens

The abstract pictures by Helga Joergens, although inspired by nature, express her feelings. The dialogue with the evolving picture leads her on a journey full of surprises. Working in watercolour, acrylic or pastel, she enjoys using vibrant colours which make her pictures shimmer. She will also exhibit a set of monoprints and several small sculptures in fired clay or stone.

You will have the opportunity to meet the artists and discuss their works with them, learn about their inspiration, working methods, as well as being able to purchase their art.
