Anne Roberts – West Norfolk and beyond

A Retrospective

Greyfriars Artspace will be showing work by Anne Roberts at the Custom House in King’s Lynn from 8 – 21 July. The exhibition will be open from 10 am – 4 pm on Monday – Saturday.

Admission is free.

ARTIST’S STATEMENT

Having originally trained as a painter at Camberwell School of Art and the Royal Academy Schools, I have spent most of my professional life as a full time teacher of art and art history. In 1993 I completed an M. Phil in Art History at the University of East Anglia on the work of the English painter and member of the Camden Town Group, Harold Gilman.

From 2012-14 I was awarded an Artists Residency at the College of West Anglia, where I developed work in ceramic sculpture. In 2015 I was awarded a Post Graduate Certificate in Fine Art from NUA, Norwich.

I have exhibited with the WNAA since 2010 and am also a member of Greyfriars Art Space in Kings Lynn I have also given lectures for various organisations, written reviews and articles, and have contributed to publications by Piquant Editions, Cross way Publications, and the Cambridge Papers.
