NAAFI Wagon, Detail of Mural

Colin Mason aviation artist was commissioned earlier this year to paint on an outside wall that is 60ft long, by 8ft and 12ft high at The Wellington Pub in Feltwell. Since June, he has managed to spend on average three days a week painting the mural in-between giving art lessons in the studio above the Arts Lounge Gallery in Swaffham. Until recently, Colin has been very lucky with the weather – so long as it is dry that’s the main thing.

The mural is dedicated to The Wellington buy online valium us Bomber aircraft, the crews, a mission, Sgt Ward, 75 NZ Squadron Air Force, and RAF Feltwell. The pub itself has memorabilia inside from a propeller, a compass and various other items from a Wellington Bomber and is well worth a visit. The restaurant overlooks the mural and certainly creates a subject for conversation.

The mural is still in progress and members of the public can visit the pub and see Colin at work whilst enjoying lunch and a pint.
